I agree. I have a tin of buttons my mom collected. I used to play with them when I was a kid.
I have all my mom's buttons, and her old button box, which was made out of old greeting cards. I played with it all the time when I was little :-)
I, too, have all of my grandmothers buttons in the tin that she collected them in. It smells like her, so every time I open it, my childhood blossoms into the room.
